With revenue of 480 million euros, Real Madrid is once again the leader in a list of the world’s richest football club for the seventh consecutive year, according to Deloitte. The daily income generated by the Spanish club is 1.3 million euros

Real Madrid, where Cristiano Ronaldo, the worlds most expensive footballer plays, will equal the record of England’s Manchester United, which ranked first on the list for eight consecutive years as long as they keep the lead in the rankings to be released next year relative the current season of 2011-2012.

The other great Spanish club, Barcelona had the second highest revenue in the 2010-2011 season, which relates the data collected by Deloitte that produces a ranking of the richest football clubs in the world every year, called the Football Money League which excludes the values of player transfers.

Compared with the list of the previous year (2009-2010 season), also prepared by Deloitte, the first seven places are still occupied by the same clubs.

Aston Villa left the top 20 richest clubs in terms of revenue, dropping to 24th. This leaves six English teams in the first 20 places – Liverpool dropped one place to ninth place on this year’s list.

The first 20 clubs belong to the five major European leagues. Besides the six from England, Italy has five clubs, four from German, three Spanish and two French (they had three last year).

Total revenues of the 20 wealthiest clubs combined reached 4.400 million euros – more than a quarter of the European football market – which means an increase of 3% over the previous year.

According to the Football Money League rankings in 2012, nine of the 20 clubs have seen their revenue grow in 2010/2011, while in the opposite direction, seven lost revenue.

Benfica (Portugal) on position 21 and Ajax (Holland) on 26th spot are the only two clubs from countries outside of the Top Five.
