Cristiano Ronaldo anounces he is a father
Four days after Portugal was eliminated from the World Cup, Cristiano Ronaldo who is not married, announced on Facebook and Twitter that he is the father of a baby boy. Ronaldo’s sister says the baby was born on June 17, 2010.It was the 25 year old Cristiano Ronaldo himself who broke the news in his official Facebook and Twitter pages, although the mother’s identity is being kept a secret.
Cristiano Ronaldo the Portugal and Real Madrid football star has said that he will have the sole custody of the child and that the mother wishes to remain anonymous. Ronaldo will respect her desire and also asks the media to do the same and not to get involved in this private matter.
The announcement of Ronaldo’s fatherhood has been viewed by several thousand people in his Facebook page (which has more than 6 million fans) and Twitter (which has nearly 300,000 followers).
A friend of the player had already confirmed that Cristiano’s mother Dolores and his sisters Elma and Kátia were already taking care of the necessary documentation involved in bringing the baby to Portugal. The baby’s mother is reported to be from North America.

The Real Madrid and Portugal winger says, “It is with great joy and emotion that I inform I have recently become father to a baby boy. As agreed with the baby’s mother, who prefers to have her identity kept confidential, my son will be under my exclusive guardianship.”

Love, love, LOVE this! Im currently living in Greece, and while Im reveling in the chance to enjoy all the Greek wine and ouzo I can, Im most definitely a beer girl at heart. Greece doesnt really do beer (in fact, in the city I live in, the one place specializing in beer is called The Beer Store). There are a few great microbreweries around the country, including one making awesome organic brews out of Rethymno, Crete. But I miss beer culture, as described in this post.
